Day 5: Photo Excursions

Weather can be so deceptive in Taipei…

For the first time since I got here, the sun came out, dazzling and hot.

The sun! It exists!

Two hours later it was gone, and we were back to high humidity and rain. Thus our plans to go up Taipei 101, or Xiangshan to view the skyline, or ride the Maokong gondolas, were moot. Instead we toured Taipei’s popular eslite bookstore and did some light photo work before calling it a day.

Later that night we decided to brave some light rain and do more long exposure photo work nearby my grandparents’ apartment. Here’s a short clip of a possible upcoming project.

Note: The stabbings on the Taipei MRT last evening were unfortunate and I’m saddened four lives were lost to something so reckless and pointless. Fred and I were lucky enough to have missed the incident by 30 minutes and one station.
